Linearis

Live subtitling,
captioning
and voiceover.

For broadcasters, sports rights holders and media service providers. Add languages and accessibility to the live workflow your team already runs.

One live moment.
Three ways to follow.

Give viewers translated text, same-language captions or another spoken language. Combine the outputs around your programme.

Live subtitling

Translate speech as the programme runs, so viewers read in their own language. For international sports, news and streams. Prepare names and terminology. Agree language pairs, timing and the text return route.

Bienvenidos a la emisión en directo.

Live captioning

Turn live speech into readable text, with speaker and sound cues scoped to your brief. For broadcast access and caption coverage. Agree operator responsibilities, readability and presentation in the final player.

[APPLAUSE] Welcome to the live programme.

Live voiceover

Turn translated speech into AI voice and return it to your live production. For commentary, interviews and new markets. Agree the voice, source mix and timing budget, then route a language track or separate feed.

More languages.
Familiar platforms.

Works alongside streams on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Kick, Twitch and Vimeo. We route translated audio through your live production setup, then match each outgoing feed to its destination.

Delivery depends on the platform's live-ingest support and your account access. Instagram requires eligible Live Producer access. Use selectable language tracks where supported, or separate language feeds.

Your production.
Our language layer.

We agree where the programme audio enters the language workflow and where captions, subtitles or voice return. Your existing production and distribution teams keep their role.

A typical workflow. The connection point and delivery route are scoped to your existing chain.

  1. 1

    Prepare the brief

Agree languages, feeds, terminology and who operates each stage.

  2. 2

    Rehearse the full path

Test language, readability, audio mix and timing in the final player.

  3. 3

    Run and monitor

Follow the agreed output checks, responsibilities and escalation path.

The right format.
At the right time.

Live delivery is more than generating words. The receiving chain must carry the language and the audience must be able to read or hear it.

Readable on the final screen

Agree line length, line breaks, position and safe areas. Check language labels, character support and contrast on the devices your audience uses.

Timing agreed before going live

Video delay and the time needed to produce captions or voice are different. Translation and speech generation may need more buffering. Rehearse the balance on the actual delivery path.

Media services & playout

Add language output to the services you already deliver for broadcasters. Scope a managed or white-label setup around your client's channels and service brief.

Sports, telco & OTT

Bring live coverage to more language markets. Plan around competitions, seasons, concurrent feeds and the destinations your subscribers already watch.

Broadcast & access teams

Add live language capacity alongside your team and current tools. Define the point where Linearis supports production and the controls your operators retain.

Managed delivery or technology alongside your team — we scope the operating model around your live hours, internal capacity and workflow.

Before you
go live.

The practical decisions to make before the programme reaches your audience.

  • How do live subtitles differ from captions?

Live subtitles translate speech into another language. Live captions represent speech in the same language. Speaker identification and relevant sound cues are agreed as part of the captioning brief; the two outputs can be combined.

  • Can we keep our current streaming setup?

Yes. The workflow is designed around your production and distribution setup. We agree the audio input and return route, then test the output in the destination player. Each platform's account access, ingest and language-track capabilities are checked before going live.

  • How much delay should we allow?

The right timing budget depends on the languages, source audio, output type and delivery chain. Translation and voice generation generally require more processing than same-language captions. We check the trade-off between video delay and language alignment during rehearsal.

  • How is quality handled during a live programme?

Prepare names and terminology before the programme, use a clear speech source, and agree monitoring and escalation responsibilities. The live workflow is rehearsed against your requirements, including any human oversight needed for the content.

  • Can the output be used for replays and highlights?

Include replay and archive requirements in the brief. We can scope the capture, expert refinement, retiming and file delivery needed for a finished on-demand version. This keeps the live output connected to the next stage of your content workflow.

Let's plan your workflow.
