Live SRT is a transport protocol; an .srt subtitle file is a different format. Each live route is tested with the receiving team before transmission.

A file opening successfully is only one part of delivery. We agree what needs checking and document what the next team receives.
Language and timing
Check the text, reading speed, cue boundaries and synchronisation against the correct picture. Confirm the SDH, speaker and sound information required by the brief.
Audio and track mapping
Review intelligibility, sync and the agreed loudness and channel requirements. Label each language track so the recipient can identify and use it.
Versions and package checks
Match filenames, language codes, subtitle tracks and audio to the approved edit. Include the agreed manifest, change list and any outstanding issues.
Live monitoring and recovery
Agree who watches the feed, how faults are escalated and what happens if a source or output drops. Rehearsal, fallback and recording requirements belong in the live brief.

Can you join a project already in progress?
Yes. Share the existing language assets, approved picture and delivery brief. We can scope a specific stage, such as expert refinement, QC, conforming or format preparation, and agree where responsibility passes between your team and Linearis.
Can you convert existing subtitle or caption files?
We can scope conversion from your source files to the requested receiving format. We first check timing, text encoding, styling and any information that the target format cannot carry. A format change alone does not replace linguistic or accessibility review.
Can you deliver separate language audio tracks?
Separate audio tracks, a programme mix or an agreed video layback can be included in the brief. Confirm the source and target languages, channel layout, sample rate, bit depth, loudness and how the receiving team will map the tracks.
What happens when the picture changes?
Send the new approved version and identify the affected sequences. We assess the subtitle and audio changes, agree the conforming scope and deliver revised assets with clear version references.
Can live output be prepared for replay?
Yes, where recording and post-event delivery are included in the scope. Live text may need timing and editorial refinement before it becomes a subtitle or caption file. Agree any audio recordings, replay formats and retention requirements before the event.
