1. Prize and key dates
One winner receives one new pair of standard Apple AirPods 4 with the standard charging case, without Active Noise Cancellation. Total prize value: €149, based on Apple's Netherlands retail listing checked on 9 September 2026. There is no cash alternative or transfer before award.
The draw is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026 at 16:30 CEST at the Linearis stand, Hall 7, Stand P26, The Pods walkway, RAI Amsterdam, Europaplein 24, Amsterdam. All times on this page are Amsterdam local time.
You must be at the stand when selected and respond within the claim window in section 6. Entering does not guarantee a prize. Booking a meeting, buying a service or agreeing to marketing does not improve your chance of winning.
2. Organiser and eligibility
The organiser is Linearis SIA, registration number 41203019463, Brīvības gatve 300-9, Riga, LV-1006, Latvia. Contact: info@linearis.io; +371 672 77260. The giveaway promotes Linearis and its language services at IBC Amsterdam.
Entry is open to everyone attending IBC Amsterdam who can lawfully participate and attend the draw. Entrants under 16 need a parent's or guardian's permission; a guardian must assist a minor with any required acceptance or collection. People directly administering or selecting the winner are excluded.
Enter in your own name. You are responsible for any employer gift or ethics restrictions. No purchase from Linearis is necessary. Travel, accommodation and any venue-admission requirements are not included; check access before entering.
3. How to enter
Submit the giveaway form on the Linearis IBC page with your name, a valid email address and the requested entry information, and accept these terms before the deadline. The localisation question is for context and does not affect the draw.
One entry per person for the entire promotion. Multiple email addresses do not create extra entries. If duplicate entries are identified, only the first valid entry is included. Automated, bulk or impersonated entries are not accepted.
Entry is free. Linearis charges no entry or communication fee. Your usual internet charges may apply. A sales conversation, demo, social-media post or marketing subscription is not a condition of entry or collection.
4. Entry period
Entries open on 11 September 2026 at 09:00 CEST. Entries close on Sunday 13 September 2026 at 16:30 CEST, when the draw starts. Submissions must be received before the entry system closes at that time; the host freezes the entry list before selection.
An entry counts only when successfully received by the entry system. Incomplete submissions, entries received after closing and submissions that cannot be matched to a real eligible person will not be included. Keep your confirmation if one is provided.
If a technical failure materially prevents fair entry, Linearis will explain the issue and any revised arrangements on the IBC page and at the stand. Accepted entries will be preserved where possible; changes will not unfairly disadvantage entrants.
5. How the winner is selected
After entries close, Linearis removes duplicates and clearly invalid entries. A random selection is made from the remaining eligible entries using a method that gives each entry an equal chance. Staff will record the selection and any redraws.
The selected entrant is announced at the stand using a name and, if needed, a limited identifier. Full email addresses will not be read out. Selection is provisional until attendance, identity and eligibility are checked.
The odds depend on the number of valid entries. No preference is given to customers, prospects, demo attendees, meeting bookings or marketing subscribers. Entry information about your company or localisation setup is not used to weight the draw.
6. If you are not at the stand
Arrive at Hall 7, Stand P26 between 16:20 and 16:25 CEST, 5–10 minutes before the 16:30 draw. You have two minutes from the first clear announcement of your name. Staff will repeat the announcement. You must be present and make yourself known to the host before that window closes.
If you are absent, do not respond in time, decline the prize or fail the eligibility check, your provisional selection lapses. Another entry is chosen at random from the remaining eligible entries. The same process repeats; an absent entrant is not put back into that draw.
A colleague cannot claim in your place. Tell staff before the draw if you need help hearing or responding, so reasonable assistance can be arranged. If no eligible person can claim, Linearis will announce a replacement draw and notify remaining eligible entrants; the advertised prize will not simply be withdrawn.
7. Claiming and receiving the prize
The confirmed winner must show enough information to match their entry, such as their confirmation email and event badge. Proof of age or identity may be requested where reasonably necessary. Staff should inspect documents rather than routinely copying them.
The prize is handed over at the stand after verification. The winner may be asked to acknowledge receipt. No payment, promotional photograph, testimonial or sales commitment is required to receive it.
If an exceptional delivery problem prevents handover, Linearis will agree a delivery arrangement with the confirmed winner at no additional cost. Any unavoidable substitute must be of equal or greater value and agreed with the winner; statutory rights remain unaffected.
Linearis will meet any tax reporting or withholding obligation imposed on it as organiser and will explain any effect on the award. Winners may have separate obligations in their country of tax residence.
8. Your personal data
The organiser acts as controller for entry administration, duplicate checks, random selection, winner verification and prize fulfilment. The legal bases are performance of the giveaway terms, legitimate interests in preventing abuse and handling disputes, and any applicable legal obligations.
Only authorised staff and service providers supporting the form, hosting or draw may access entry data as needed. Entry data is deleted or anonymised by 12 December 2026 (90 days after the draw), except for limited records needed for a dispute or a legal retention duty. Contact info@linearis.io about access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where applicable. You may complain to a competent data-protection authority. Necessary entry data is required to administer your participation; withdrawing your entry before the draw removes you from selection. See the Linearis Privacy Policy for further details.
9. Marketing and publicity
Entering authorises communications needed to run this giveaway, such as entry queries and prize arrangements. It does not by itself subscribe you to marketing. Any marketing opt-in must be separate, optional and unticked by default.
Refusing or withdrawing marketing consent does not affect your entry, odds or prize. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the message link or by contacting info@linearis.io.
The winner may be identified minimally at the live draw to verify the result. Any promotional photo, interview or wider publication of a winner's personal details requires a separate agreement. This giveaway is organised solely by Linearis SIA and is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or administered by Apple Inc. IBC does not sponsor, administer or endorse this giveaway unless expressly confirmed otherwise.
10. Fair play and changes
Linearis may exclude an entry for a material breach of these rules, fraud, impersonation or manipulation of the entry or draw process. Exclusion must be based on reasonable evidence, and the entrant may ask for an explanation.
If the venue closes, an emergency occurs or a material technical failure makes the planned draw unsafe or unfair, Linearis may postpone or relocate it. Updated arrangements will be announced on the IBC page and at the stand, with email notice where practicable.
Changes will preserve valid entries and fair chances as far as reasonably possible. The rules will not be changed retrospectively to remove an already-earned prize. An advertised prize will not be withheld merely because participation is lower than expected.
These giveaway terms apply specifically to this promotion. Venue rules still apply while you are at IBC. If an announcement conflicts with these terms, contact the organiser so the issue can be resolved fairly.
11. Liability and your rights
Linearis will take reasonable care when administering the giveaway. It is not responsible for an entrant's incorrect contact details, failure to attend or personal travel arrangements, except where liability arises under applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or other mandatory protections. Product faults and any applicable manufacturer warranty or statutory remedies remain subject to the relevant law.
A decision about entry validity or the draw may be reviewed through the complaints process. These terms do not remove your right to contact a regulator or bring a claim before a competent court.
12. Questions, complaints and law
Email info@linearis.io with the subject "IBC giveaway" and describe the issue, your entry details and the resolution you are seeking. Do not send identity documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel. Linearis aims to acknowledge within five working days and to give a substantive response within 20 working days.
This Amsterdam promotion is intended to follow the Dutch Code of Conduct for Promotional Games of Chance. Questions about compliance may also be raised with the Kansspelautoriteit. These terms are governed by Dutch law, without removing any mandatory protections or court rights that apply to you.
